Boilerplate

Depo is the honest budget app that shows what's safe to spend today.
Depo tells you what you can safely spend today — no spreadsheets, no bank login, no BS. Built for average people, freelancers, non-conformists, and anyone whose income or life doesn't fit neatly into a monthly spreadsheet.
Depo is an iOS budget app built around a single idea: you should always know what you can safely spend today. Instead of complex categories or monthly spreadsheets, Depo takes your income, subtracts what's already spoken for — rent, bills, savings — and turns what's left into a daily number. Spend less, and it carries into tomorrow. Spend more, and tomorrow adjusts. No bank login required, no shame, no lectures. Built by solo developer Sergey Kaplich after a decade of using a Reddit budgeting spreadsheet, Depo is designed for average people, freelancers, non-conformists, and anyone whose income or life doesn't fit neatly into a monthly spreadsheet.
For nearly a decade, Sergey Kaplich managed his money with a budgeting spreadsheet he found on Reddit. It wasn't elegant — logging a coffee purchase from a Google Sheet on his phone never is — but it gave him one thing no finance app did: an honest number that told him what he could spend today, once rent, bills, and savings were accounted for.
Depo is that idea, rebuilt as an iOS app. Enter your income, your essentials, and what you want to save, and Depo divides what's left across the days remaining in the month. That's your safe-to-spend number. Log an expense in about three taps. Spend less today, and it carries forward. Spend more, and tomorrow adjusts. There's no reset and no lecture — just an honest update.
Depo doesn't connect to your bank. That's intentional: privacy is one reason, but the bigger one is attention. When spending is automated, it's easy to stop noticing it. Depo asks you to type what you spent, which means you notice it.
The app is free to start. Depo+ unlocks net worth tracking, home screen widgets, unlimited history, and more. Depo is built for average people, freelancers, non-conformists, and anyone whose income or life doesn't fit neatly into a monthly spreadsheet.

From the founder
I'm Sergey — I built Depo.
For about ten years, I ran my finances off a budgeting spreadsheet I found on Reddit. It wasn't pretty. I had it open in Google Sheets on my phone, adding a coffee or a grocery run by hand. But it did one thing no app I tried ever did: it gave me an honest number for what I could spend today, once rent, bills, and savings were already accounted for.
Everything else I tried felt like it was either too simple to be useful or so complicated I gave up before I ever logged an expense. So I built the thing I actually wanted — first as a small web app, then as an iOS app once I knew the idea held up.
Depo doesn't ask for your bank login. It doesn't lecture you when the number goes red. It just tells you the truth about today, and lets tomorrow adjust. I built it for average people, freelancers, non-conformists, and anyone whose income or life doesn't fit neatly into a monthly spreadsheet.
